Dazzling October sunrise in Upstate New York

October mornings in Western NY can be chilly, even dismal. This photograph was taken in early October at seven am, just before the sun cleared the horizon. I was headed to work, rather than waking up early in my camper; but savoring a sunrise like this one is exactly why it's worth getting up early.
